BaARDVADER
stoner fuzz rock

REVIEW:

The Westland band Baardvader has managed to play itself into a true stoner-fuzz rock legend in a short time.

Inspired by bands from the 70s and 90s, the trio started in 2019 with a new mission: to inject new energy into the rock genre and find the essence of the music. The result is certainly there: heavy and throbbing, with sludgy guitar riffs, trippy vocals and pounding drums.

The Westland band Baardvader has managed to play itself into a true stoner-fuzz rock legend in a short time.

The self-titled debut album was released in early 2020 and immediately thundered into fourth place on the international doom charts. Although the subsequent club tour was curtailed by a pandemic, Bearded Father was certainly not fazed: the band recorded a second album, 'Foolish Fires', which was released in October and was more than well received. In addition, the band toured the whole country with the Popronde last year.

It's time for these rockers to play a home game again. Masterfest is more than proud to host this great local talent in the Netherlands Three!

“We wouldn't have dared to dream that grunge from The Hague sounds just as good as gunge from Seattle (the home of grunge), but convince yourself and listen. Baardvader already played an excellent home game at Submarine Den Haag and is a great grunge promise for the whole of the Netherlands.”
