REVIEW:

It is no longer a secret for many fans of hard progressive metal: Hibakusha is a must see!

The metalheads from Haarlem have been making waves since 2013 and gained a foothold in 2015 with their debut EP Incarnation. Their first full-length album 'Prophet of Numbers' has also been released, a gem of a metal record with a raw edge full of groove. The men make no secret of their musical influences from like-minded bands such as Tesseract, Gojira and Meshuggah, but still have a completely unique sound with which they manage to blow any audience away: instrumentally exciting, fast and almost hypnotic, with the vocals of Twan Driessen still in the spotlight.

It is no longer a secret for many fans of hard progressive metal: Hibakusha is a must see!

Metal magazine Aardschok was also hooked from the first moment: “With the title track you can - without exaggerating - say that the men place themselves at a level where bands such as Meshuggah, Textures and to name a few international toppers normally operate. .. Hibakusha. Remember that name!"

Yet the real strength of the members of Hibakusha lies in their intense, compelling live shows. There is no audience that can escape the swirling pits, hard beats and screaming lead parties, if we are to believe eyewitnesses of Euroblast, Amsterdam Metalfest, Complexity Fest and Fortarock. On Friday evening, July 10, the men will shake the Netherlands Three up during Masterfest... So get ready!

"What the band shows [with its album] is that they can undoubtedly measure up to international fellow bands and we can all be quite proud of that. So do you like progressive, aggressive groovy metal? you should definitely listen to this album."
